Therapy for adults with ADHD in Oxford

I have worked with clients with ADHD for over 15 years, including many university students. Many arrive after years of being told they are disorganised, lazy or "too much", and carry a heavy load of self-criticism as a result.

Therapy offers a place to understand how your mind works, to soften that inner critic, and to find practical ways through the overwhelm, procrastination and the strain ADHD can put on work and relationships. It works alongside any diagnosis or medication you receive from your GP or specialist.

What therapy can help with

  • Overwhelm, stress and burnout

  • Shame and self-criticism

  • Low self-esteem and a sense of underachieving

  • Relationships, work or university

  • Strong emotions

  • Grief or anger after a late diagnosis

Adapting sessions to you

We can shape the pace and structure of sessions around what helps you focus. I also use Heart and Mind, the model I developed, which uses breath and body awareness to help you step back from a busy, racing mind.

Medication and diagnosis

I don't diagnose ADHD or advise on medication; that sits with your GP or psychiatrist. Therapy works alongside whatever you decide, whether or not you take medication.
